In the smelting process of iron and steel products, due to factors such as smelting time, holding time, and longer overheating time, the smelting loss of carbon in the molten iron increases, resulting in a decrease in the carbon content in the molten iron, leading to The carbon content in molten iron does not reach the theoretical value expected for refining. The carbon-containing substances added in order to make up for the carbon content lost during the steel smelting process are called recarburizers. High-quality recarburizer is an indispensable auxiliary additive for the production of high-quality steel. In addition, the additives of brake pads also use recarburizers as friction materials.

There are many kinds of raw materials for recarburizers, and the production processes are also different. There are woody carbon, coal-based carbon, coke, graphite, etc., among which there are many small types under various categories. High-quality recarburizer generally refers to a recarburizer that has undergone graphitization. Under high temperature conditions, the arrangement of carbon atoms is in the microscopic form of graphite, so it is called graphitization. Graphitization can reduce the content of impurities in the recarburizer, increase the carbon content of the recarburizer, and reduce the sulfur content.

 

The recarburizer is used in casting, which can greatly increase the amount of scrap steel, reduce the amount of pig iron or not use pig iron.
